Deploy with Netlify overview
- [Instructor] Netlify is a web publishing and distribution service that's highly optimized for static sites. By connecting to your GitHub account, Netlify can deploy your static sites in a few minutes or less. You can add a custom domain, HTTPS, and more with just a couple of clicks. If you've watched the chapter about deploying to AWS, you probably noticed that AWS is powerful, but can be tedious to set up. You can think of Netlify as the same service, just a lot simpler to set up and simpler to manage. Here's how it works. After linking your GitHub and Netlify accounts, any changes you push to the source files on GitHub will be seen by Netlify. Every change you push will trigger an automated build and deploy the updated files to the web. Netlify has both free and paid plans. I'd recommend checking the pricing page at netlify.com/pricing to see which features you'll need. If you decide that Netlify fits your needs well, I'll show you how to get started.
