Create a wiki

- [Instructor] Another hidden gem in GitHub is that it allows you to create wikis for each of your projects. To create a wiki, just go to the Wiki tab right here, and then click on Create The First Page. You get a full-featured editor for your wikis, and although there are shortcut buttons right here, you can also write in regular markdown. So for example, I can type in a pound sign, and type in something in here. Now to create a page, I can hit Save Page right here, and it's going to show you a few additional options that you can have on your website. So for example, you can add a custom footer, a custom sidebar to your wiki, or add additional pages. Let's add one more page. Now, I use wikis to create code samples that are tied to a specific repo. That works a little bit like Gists, except that they are always combined with the current repository, which makes them a little bit more useful because I can find everything…
