In this video, we start out with a look at the system requirements for running GarageBand on a Mac.
- [Voiceover] Okay, in this chapter…we're gonna take a look at the gear you'll need…to record your podcast including both hardware…and software and then we're gonna record…a short sample podcast to see how it all comes together.…First of all, in case you were unaware,…you don't need a professional recording studio…to record your podcast.…All you need is some microphones and related hardware,…recordings software which in our case is GarageBand,…and since we're using GarageBand, we need a Mac.…To run the most current version of GarageBand,…which as of this recording is version 10.1.1,…your Mac should be running…at least OS 10.9 Mavericks or later.…
You should have one of these types of processors or better.…But basically, if your Mac came out any time after 2009,…and it has at least four gigabytes of RAM,…you should be fine…running the current version of GarageBand.…If you purchased your Mac new in the past few years,…it should have come pre-installed with GarageBand.…If you don't have it or you have an older version,…
