- [Voiceover] In this movie I'd like to briefly discuss recording locations and go over some of the things you can do to make sure the only sounds recorded in your podcast are the ones you want. Now I'm working under the assumption that you're gonna be recording your podcast in your home or office and not in a professional recording studio. If you are in a professional studio you don't need to be watching this movie. So assuming that you're recording at home you're most likely gonna have to do a little soundproofing of your recording space. You don't wanna hear fans or a kid screaming or dogs barking in your podcast, unless of course you're doing a kid screaming, dog barking, fan buzzing podcast show. But if not here's some things you can try in no particular order. Record in a small room with a door you can close, stuff towels under the door to decrease the level of any noise that might slip through, hang some tapestries on the wall.
