Join Justin Seeley for an in-depth discussion in this video Using Fuzzy Select, part of GIMP Essential Training (2012).
Another nice tool that you have at your disposal inside of GIMP when it comes to making selections…is something called the Fuzzy Select tool.…This is actually pretty neat little tool. It is basically the same kind of tool as …we would see in somrthing like a magic wand tool in Photoshop, or something like that.…It basically allows you to make selections based on certain criteria that you set up ahead of time.…And so the Fuzzy Select tool is located right here in the toolbar.…I'm actually going to expand on my toolbar little bit, so you can see little bit of more…what's going on. So there's my toolbar, and my tool options appear right down here at the bottom.…
So I have got my Fuzzy Select Tool selected, and down here at the bottom we have several…different tool options.…We haven't talked about tool options yet, but the Fuzzy Select Tool is one of the best…tools to discuss these.…These are available to you, in most cases, when you're working with selection tools.…So Free Select, the elliptical, and rectangular marquee tools all have that specific tool options section.…
