- [Instructor] Like most modern graphics applications, GIMP supports Multiple Undo. So, you can feel free to experiment, since you can retrace your steps to get back to a previous version of an image. GIMP also has an Undo History dialog, where you can see a list of the things that you've done to a file, and then click an item to jump back to that point. Let's check it out. In GIMP, just about anything you do to alter an image is undoable. And you can access Undo from the Edit menu, or by using the standard keyboard shortcut, Command or Control + Z. So, if I take the paintbrush tool, and make white my foreground color, I'll target the Waves layer and make three separate brush marks on this image. I can press Command + Z three times to remove them one at a time. If I want to redo actions, the Redo command is also in the Edit menu, or I can press Command or Control + Y to bring my brush strokes back. The number of undos available in GIMP is dynamic.
