Transform paths

- [Instructor] Let's continue to work with paths in GIMP by seeing how to transform those paths. In our exercise file, we have one heart-shaped path, and we can use the transform tools to modify this path. First, the most basic thing, is just moving the path within the document. So when I have the move tool, notice there are three choices in the tool options. I can move a layer, a selection, or a path. If I'm going to be rearranging a lot of paths, I might consider clicking this button to move paths, but there's also a keyboard shortcut that will switch me to moving paths on the fly, and that's the Control key on Windows or the Command key on Mac. As long as I press and hold Control or Command, the move tool stays in the path moving mode. When I release, it'll switch back to layer moving mode. So let's try that out. I'll click on the path and then hold Command or Control and drag it to move it around. Now let's try rotating this path. I'll take the rotate tool, and this time I will…
