Scale images
- [Instructor] So far in this chapter we've looked at two commands in Gimp Image Menu. One is for adjusting the number of pixels in an image and the other lets you change the resolution of an image. And in this movie we'll try out a third command that combines the features of the other two. And the command is called scale image. So to try it out I'll go to the image menu and choose scale image. And just to compare it with the other commands we've used in this chapter, I'm going to open them too. So I'll open canvas size and print size. The scale image dialogue is like a combination of the other two. It allows you to edit the pixel width and height like the canvas and you can edit the X and Y resolution like in print size. And there's also a quality setting that applies when you re-sample an image by adding or removing pixels. I'd recommend that you leave this at the default of cubic, for best results.
