Fuzzy Select tool

- [Instructor] In this movie we'll look at GIMP's, Fuzzy Select Tool. Which allows you to click in your image, to select a range of similarly colored pixels. The results you get with this tool, will depend on two things. The color that you click on, and the value for the threshold you set in the tool options. In our exercise file, say I wanted to select this surfers wetsuit. I'll take the Fuzzy Select tool, and click the button in the tool options, to make sure I'm using the default values. And then I'll click on the surfers wrist. And you can see from the highlighted edges of the selection, that I got some of the wetsuit but not all of it. So I could try clicking in different places, and each time I get a different selection. The threshold option controls how many, neighboring colors are selected. A low threshold will select a smaller area, a high threshold will select a larger area. I can also add to my selection by holding the Shift Key. Notice the small plus sign that appears near…
