- You can make some fun and creative graphic effects using GIMP's distortion filters. And there are plenty of distortion filters to choose from, which we can see here by choosing Filters, Distorts. I'm going to show just one in this movie, and encourage you to try out some of the others on your own. Some of these are better than others, and a few you might actually never find a use for. One that I like is the Mosaic filter, which allows you to create tiled effects from scratch. So let's see how that works. I'll choose Distorts, Mosaic. And we get a preview of the effects, so we can see how the different settings interact. If you don't see the preview go ahead and turn it on with this checkbox. In Tile geometry, we can choose a starting shape. We have hexagons, squares, octagons, and triangles. And these can be hard to see at a small size, so you can increase the Tile size value to see them better. I'll choose a value of 120. And at first they're all randomly shaped. That's due to this…
