Copy and merge paths

- In this movie we'll see how to copy vector paths and paste them in either the same document or another document. As well as how to merge separate paths into one. The process of copying and pasting paths is simple but it's not obvious. You can't just select a path and use the copy and paste commands in the edit menu since they only work on pixels, not paths. Instead, to make a copy of a path in the same document, select it in the Paths dialogue and then click the button to duplicate the path. The new path is put in the exact same position on the canvas as the original. If you have separate paths that you want to unite into a single path you can merge them. Start by making sure that the paths you want to merge are the only ones visible in the Paths dialogue. So to merge the heart and the circle paths I'll turn off the new one we just created and I'll go to the Paths dialogue menu and choose Merge Visible Paths.
