Arrange layers
- [Instructor] Layers give you flexibility in creating your artwork by allowing you to manipulate parts of your image independently from the rest. And one aspect of this is controlling the arrangement of layers in your document. So let's see how that works. In our exercise file there are four layers, total. The red layer's at the top of the stack, underneath that is blue, then yellow, and then a background layer at the bottom. And this is reflected in the image where the stack of ovals goes from red, to blue, to yellow, with a white background behind everything. So if I wanted to make the red oval appear under the other two, I can click it in the layers dialog, and drag it down in the stack. Notice as I drag that a line appears between layers telling me that if I release the red layer, it'll go there in the stack. To put the red layer back on top, I could just drag it back up.
