Join Lee Lanier for an in-depth discussion in this video Motion tracking, part of Learning Fusion 7.
- Motion tracking allows you to…detect the motion within the piece of footage…and apply that motion data to some other element.…For example, you can apply motion tracking data…to a 3D render so it looks like that render…was shot with the original camera.…In Fusion, the tool that performs motion tracking…is called the tracker.…Let's apply it to this.…I have some new green screen footage here.…You can see that there are motion tracking…marks on the green.…This is saved out as 8-1.…In any case, with this loader selected,…I'll go to tools, tracking, tracker.…
Once the tracker is in the scene,…you'll see a tracker box in the view.…Let me zoom in.…It's a little hard to see at the start…because the boxes are green,…but if you place your mouse over the tracker,…you'll see the inner box with a cross hair…and a outer box.…The top-left of the inner box there's a little dot.…If you click, drag that, and let go,…you'll see that the box has turned red.…Now they're easier to see.…In any case, the inner box is actually the pattern box.…
