- [Instructor] There are many different slicer software options, but I'll only be covering two specifically in this course; though the content of this course can be used with many different hardware and software work flows. I want to introduce you to a third-party gCode visualizer called gCode.ws. It's a great option if you're working with a 3D printing workflow that uses gCode, but you have slicing software that lacks or has a subpar gCode visualizer. So to get started, we'll choose File; and in the exercise files, I've provided Twisted Solid.gcode as an example. Choose Open. Okay, so we have a bunch of information here on the left: filament usage, time estimate, et cetera. You can go through all these menu options. You've got some 2D render options, and then down here at the bottom, if you want accurate material and costs estimates, you'll need to input some information about your plastic and you printer.
