- [Instructor] Let's zoom into our table. So notice we have three boards here, that has a different appearance. I'm going to hit A for appearance. The rest of our boards here has a pine semi-gloss appearance. So let's drag and drop this to our three boards. Dragging and dropping here, and dragging and dropping here. So notice, especially these two boards. Notice the layout and grain direction of these boards are very much identical. Now this doesn't add realism to our model. In order for us to have a variation in the layout and grain direction, all we have to do is head to our target appearance. Right click and select 'duplicate'. Let's hover over the new copy of our pine semi-gloss. I'm going to drag and drop this appearance to this board. And in order for us to modify the scale of the texture or grain direction, we just need to head back to our appearance right click and select edit. From here I can tweak the scale.
