Join Taylor Hokanson for an in-depth discussion in this video Pins, part of Learning Autodesk Fusion 360.
- [Voiceover] Now to turn this system…into an animated and functioning group…of linkages we need to add in a couple…of static elements that aren't going anywhere.…So that would be a pin that exists…here at the origin and also a pin…that we would find right here.…And we can make these really basic shapes.…So for example, I'll go to Create…and New Component, and we want this one to…be empty, not based on some other existing body.…When I create it it's automatically activated…and then now I can create a cylinder for example.…
That's going to go just like everything…else on the xy plane and I'll stick it right…here and give it the same diameter…and the same height as the holes that…I've been creating.…So in that case this will be 3mm.…Okay, so that's going to be a new body…within this component.…Now I should be able to copy this fellow…and paste him here as well.…Let's see if he'll allow me to do so.…And then this one we're going to move…to a slightly different location.…
It's good that both of these bodies…are within the same component because…
This course is an overview of the interface and the modeling, sculpting, and rendering workflows in Fusion 360. Taylor Hokanson shows how to import reference images, use the sketching tools, extrude 3D shapes, combine components into assemblies, and render animations that show your designs in action. Plus, learn how to sculpt organic shapes by editing T-Spline forms. This course has everything you need to use Fusion 360 to translate your ideas into elegant CAD drawings and fabrication-ready designs.
