Photogrammetry tips for success

- [Instructor] In order to get the best 3D models from which to do reverse engineering using photogrammetry, you need to make sure that you get the best input, which means the best setup for taking photos of your desired object. If you see on the screen here, I have just kind of a random shape that I created. When you are taking photos for photogrammetry, you want to try to take photos at about a 15 degree angle. So in this you can kind of see a representation of a 15 degree angle coming out from your object towards your object. If we extrapolate that out, you would want to take photos all the way around your object at about a 15 degree movement. Which means you take one photo here, you move over 15 degrees and you take another photo. You'll have quite a bit of overlap from both of those images, and that's exactly what you want.
