- [Instructor] Quite a few times your scanner software will just not record some areas of the model. That might be because of small voids that the scanner can't see or in the case of this object right here there was something very reflective on the top that the scanner's light just bounced off of. In this video, we'll talk about how to fill in some of those holes and a little addendum at the end on whether you need to fill in those holes at all. I'm in Meshmixer. A really good thing to do when you first are evaluating any model in Meshmixer is to go to Analysis, to Inspector. This will show all of the problems with this mesh. The purple pins are objects that are floating, so they are disconnected from the larger objects with a threshold number. The blue pins show holes that Meshmixer is fairly certain how to fix, click on that, you see, can fix that and fix that, fix that, and the red holes are holes where there are some…
