(bright ambient music) - Hi, my name is Nick Kloski and I want to welcome you to this reverse engineering scanning class. In this class, we're going to be going over how to go from a 3D scan to a reverse engineered model. Now, this class is not for people in the professional metrology realm. This is more for hobbyists, prosumers, and, maybe, the beginning of professional users who want to learn the basics of reverse engineering using 3D scan data as a basis. 3D scan data can come from many different sources, both low quality, more accessible scanners all the way up to multi tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of dollars 3D scanners. In this class, we are going to be going over how to use tools that are either very low cost or free in order to get the scan data and then putting those through free tools that I'll show you later in the class on how to turn those 3D models into solid models for the purposes of reverse engineering. I look forward to having you in this class, so let's start.
