- [Narrator] We'll be talking a lot in this class about how to create 3D models yourself using various 3D scanning tools. Some of those are photogrammetry-based, some of those may be inexpensive laser scanners that you build yourself, but I also want to let you know that if you want to do reverse engineering or want to work with something that's in the physical world, you can have other people scan for you. Just like 3D printing, when 3D printing first came out in the consumer realm, there weren't all that many service bureaus, but now, you can get things 3D printed for you very quickly and inexpensively without having to own your own 3D printer, the same thing with scanning. If you do a search for 3D scanning services, ones will pop up in your local area. Obviously my company popped up because Google knows that I am the owner of this company and so mine popped up here, but there are many, many different 3D scanning…
