Defining the toolpath
- [Instructor] With the setup complete, it's time to start programming the toolpath. The first toolpath we'll program will be a facing operation. With each toolpath, you'll have a dialog with multiple tabs. A few of these tabs might change but for the most part, they will remain consistent. The first one is tool. This is where you will select the tool that you'll use, choose whether or not coolant will be used and set the speed and feed information for the tool. I'll begin by selecting a tool. The file that's included with the course has a document library. This is a shortcut of the various tools that will be used for this course. There are other libraries included that you can explore and try alternatives if you like. For this facing operation and other operations, we'll use the six millimeter diameter bullnose end mill with a one millimeter radius. We can see the tool information itself displayed in the upper right of the dialog. I'll click OK to select it and move on to the next…
