Creating our first multi-body part
- [Instructor] Hi, everyone. In this lesson we will formally create our Geneva mechanism. Let's start by creating a sketch. So heading up to sketch, select create sketch. Let's sketch on our XZ plane. So selecting this plane, left click. And instead of painstakingly creating a complex sketch, let's remove some of that burden by introducing a scenario wherein we can reuse an existing DXF file from AutoCAD. So let's head up to insert, select insert DXF. Let's now locate that DXF file. Let's drill in to where you have saved the exercise files, so selecting Geneva-Sketch.dxf, selecting open. So here it is. I'm going to leave all the defaults. Hitting OK. Notice our sketch entities are in blue meaning they are not yet fully constrained so if I select our circle, we can resize this, hitting Control Z to undo. Let's prevent ourselves by accidentally resizing and repositioning our sketch entities. So from here I can create a window selection, so making sure under select, window selection is…
