Creating mesh sections

- [Instructor] This is a very important video for learning how to do reverse engineering with Fusion 360. We have this scan, mostly aligned, it's not perfectly on the bottom plane, but it's pretty good. What we're going to do is say Create, and go down to Create Mesh Section Sketch, like this. We're going to say Create MeshBody, we're going to click on the MeshBody, and then for the plane, we are going to click on the bisecting plane. This is why it was so important to align the 3D model with the world coordinates inside of here, it's for this MeshSection. You can see a little orange line has bisected, or essentially been cut, or overlaid, on where this meets the mesh, all the way up, all the way to the top. Click OK to accept that. You now see under Sketches, that the first Sketch that we created was here, but then there is a new Sketch, and the new Sketch has underneath it a MeshSection. Double-click on the Sketch, it may be…
