Join Taylor Hokanson for an in-depth discussion in this video Create the master strut, part of Learning Autodesk Fusion 360.
- [Voiceover] Okay, so here we have our two…rigid triangles in sketch form,…or rather sketch form, but also embedded as components.…And here those components I'm trying to keep track of naming…so we have the upper triangle and the lower triangle.…Okay, so for the rest of the elements in the system,…I'm going to refer to them as members or struts.…First let's create sort of a master drawing…that we'll be able to derive each of those struts from,…because they don't change all that much visually.…And we have one, two, three, four, five of them to make,…so anything that can save us some time will be great.…
So, to get this done,…I'm not going to worry about components,…I'm just going to make a new sketch.…Stick it here on the x-y plane,…and we've been working with five millimeter holes,…so we'll stick to that.…So, let's say we grab some circles,…make this thing five millimeters.…I can also show you copying,…so if I highlight that and hit Command + c…and Command + v, it will copy right in place,…so you won't be able to tell exactly where it is.…
This course is an overview of the interface and the modeling, sculpting, and rendering workflows in Fusion 360. Taylor Hokanson shows how to import reference images, use the sketching tools, extrude 3D shapes, combine components into assemblies, and render animations that show your designs in action. Plus, learn how to sculpt organic shapes by editing T-Spline forms. This course has everything you need to use Fusion 360 to translate your ideas into elegant CAD drawings and fabrication-ready designs.
