CAM basics in MakerBot Print
- [Instructor] MakerBot Print is proprietary software that helps you prepare a file for 3D printing on MakerBot's line of 3D printers, and it's one of the CAM options we'll cover in this course. It's also pretty similar to GrabCAD Print, which has product support for a wide range of FDM printers available from Stratasys. Let's go through how to load a file, change settings, and visualize the print before exporting for 3D printing. All right, so up at the top here, you see this folder icon, which is the Project Panel. Click on it, and then click Add Models. We'll use the Twisted Solid.stl that can be found in your exercise files. And choose Open. In MakerBot Print, you have the option to set up multiple build plates at once. In this case, we only need one, and we've loaded all our models, so I'll click on that file folder to close the Project Panel.
