Learn how to use the find/change function to find content and replace it with alternate content, such as text and other objects like anchored frames.
- [Instructor] When you need to locate something…in your FrameMaker document,…especially if it's a longer document,…it could take awhile, scrolling through page after page.…There is find functionality built-in to FrameMaker,…and if you're accustomed to using Find/Replace…in word processing applications,…here in FrameMaker, it's called Find/Change.…Going to go up to the top of page one here…and just click, right in front of the M…in MISSION FURNITURE.…Next, we'll go to the Edit menu to access Find…or Find/Change, you can see it right here.…
Find Next is going to allow us to type in…what we're looking for if it's text…or select other objects that we can search for…throughout our document, but if we want to make changes…to what we find, we'll choose this option, Find/Change,…and you'll notice Ctrl+F is the keyboard shortcut,…give it a click.…This opens up the Find/Change pod over here…on the right-hand side, and you can see by default…we're going to be looking for Text,…that's what appears here in the Find field,…
