In this segment, I cover the overall process and give you best practices to ensure you don't fall into common pitfalls. Application development takes place over a five-step process. Step one and two are all about definition. If you always think with your end goal in mind, the actual development steps become simpler and execute more efficiently. This is why in step one we define our business requirements and step two we define our data model requirements. Step three is where we actually start developing our application and follow a systematic process for building it out. When we feel that the application is ready for approval, it goes to step four where we test the application against our original requirements.
