Join Anastasia McCune for an in-depth discussion in this video Panel locking, part of Flash CC 2015 New Features.
- You're probably already aware that you can move…the panels in Flash around as you'd like.…For instance, I'll move my Properties panel out…so it's floating out over my stage.…And I'll resize it.…And I can do something crazy like move my Align panel…next to my Library panel.…So, being able to move the panels around is great,…but it can very easy to grab a panel…and move it accidentally.…Or even move a whole dock to a strange place…like I'm doing here with the timeline.…Well, in the newest version of Flash, in the flyout menu…for each panel, you'll now see a new choice to Lock,…so I'll do that for the Properties panel,…and I'll also do it over here for Align.…
And when you choose this, you can see that the panels…in the docks are indeed locked, I can't move Align,…nor can I move Library, and I can't move…the Properties panel either.…The locked panels are still resizable, which is nice.…So, you can still adjust them so you can improve your view,…but they are indeed locked into place.…Of course, to unlock, just open the flyout menu again,…
