- If you like to use video as a guide layer in Flash,…you now have the option to import H.264Video…for this purpose in the newest release of Flash.…So, here's the thing,…you'll be able to see the video play on the stage,…however, this is a design time only feature…for you, as the author, to use as a guide for animation…or other content on the stage.…The Flash Player and other Runtimes…don't support rendering embedded H.264 videos…so they won't be published,…they'll just remain as a guide only during author time.…
In our example file here, we've got an image of a peacock…here on the stage just to have something on the stage…now we're going to import in a video of a peacock.…First, I'm just gonna make a new layer…to import the video on.…The video import process is pretty much the same…as it's always been.…I'll go to the File menu, and then Import,…and then Import Video.…You'll see we have this option to embed H.264 video…in the timeline and here, of course,…Flash reminds us this is design time only,…the video cannot be exported.…
