Join Anastasia McCune for an in-depth discussion in this video HTML5 Canvas output optimizations, part of Flash Professional: 2015 Creative Cloud Updates.
- The current release of Flash Professional now helps…you optimize your HTML5 Canvas projects…by excluding unused assets in the final published files.…This new behavior means that, by default,…your published HTML5 Canvas content no longer includes…library items that are unused, either on the stage…or via linkage; assets on guide layers;…and assets on unused frames in graphic symbols.…In addition, you've probably used hidden layers before.…
That's just when you turn the visibility of a layer…on or off in the timeline.…Assets on hidden layers won't be exported either,…depending on your publish settings.…Here's where you can find that.…The File menu, Publish Settings,…and then you can find the Include hidden layers check box.…If you deselect this, hidden layers won't be included…in your published files either.…Excluding unused assets can result in a big reduction…in the file sizes of your final published…HTML5 Canvas project.…
So, enjoy this useful new behavior.…
