Join Anastasia McCune for an in-depth discussion in this video AIR 16.0 and 64-bit binaries for iOS, part of Flash Professional: 2015 Creative Cloud Updates.
- In late 2014, Apple announced that as of February 1, 2015,…the new iOS apps submitted to the App Store…must include 64-bit support.…Now can comply wit this requirement…since the newest release of Flash Professional…packages 64-bit binaries for iOS via AIR 16.0.…In our sample file here, you can see…in the Property Inspector, here in the Target Dropdown,…that we've got AIR 16.0 for iOS selected.…
So we're pretty much all set for for publishing at 64-bit.…Another new change related to AIR and iOS…has to do with how fast your app is packaged.…With AIR 16.0 for iOS still selected,…I'm gonna click the wrench icon…to open up the AIR for iOS Settings dialog.…Now I'm gonna click over to the Deployment tab.…Previously, AIR applications for iOS…could be packaged either by using the Fast Packaging Mode,…also called the Interpreted Mode,…or the Standard Mode, also called Compiled Mode.…
Interpreted Mode is faster then Compiled Mode…and has been primarily employed for debugging,…since you don't have to wait forever to test your project…
