Working with frame previews

When you create complex animations in Flash it can be helpful to have a preview of each frame without having to move the playhead. On the stage here I have a movie clip that contains an animation. So I'll double-click it to enter its Timeline. So here you'll see that I have a frame -by-frame animation and this actually works the best with a frame-by-frame animation. If you just have artwork, it works pretty well too, but it doesn't work as well if you have a motion tween. So if you have a motion tween then I recommend right-clicking your whole tween and then choosing convert to a frame-by-frame animation, just so you can see how this works. So what we will do first is click the options button at the top right of the timeline and choose Preview in Context. Now what this is going to do is it gives me a preview of my animation, because you can see that the frames are very small. So I have a very small image of the skateboarder, each frame of him falling.
