Using behaviors with ActionScript 2.0

When you are creating real-world projects in Flash, occasionally you are going to have to use a Flash Player earlier than Flash Player 9 so you won't be able to utilize ActionScript 3.0 or the Code Snippets panel. In this movie, we'll look at how to use ActionScript 2.0 to add some of the same functionality that you can add with the Code Snippets panel. First, you may want to change your application to publish to ActionScript 2.0. To do that, you can click the Edit button next to your publishing profile. Go to the Flash tab. Change the Script to ActionScript 2.0. Instead of using the Code Snippets panel, you can use the Behaviors panel with ActionScript 2 to add the interactivity. So, let's say we wanted to make this button link to the Explore California website. So, I'll select the button on the Stage and then open up the Behaviors panel. That's under Window > Behaviors.
