Using the Eyedropper tool

The Eyedropper tool allows you to sample colors and apply them to different objects in your applications. So on the Stage here I have some artwork, and let's say I wanted to reuse some of the colors in it. Maybe I want to reuse this off-white color that's used in the olive oil bottle. So to capture that color I can select the Eyedropper tool, notice the keyboard shortcut is I, and then I can hover my mouse over that color. Then when I click the color, Flash automatically updates my fill color to whatever I selected with the Eyedropper.

I could then use this fill color to create artwork. Note that when you use the Eyedropper tool, Flash automatically goes to the Paint Bucket tool so that you can paint a fill with the color that you just selected. There is another way to access the Eyedropper, which is actually my preferred way to use it.
