In this movie, I want to talk about what search engine optimization is. Search engine optimization is the main thing that we are going to be doing in this website. The goal is to get your pages higher in search engine results. Here are three things that are important to know regarding search engine optimization. Search engine optimization accurately portrays pages' content to search engines, and people. You are not looking to do anything deceptive here; you want to accurately portray your pages content, so that search engines can better index your pages, and get results to the people accurately.
You don't want your page to show up in an irrelevant web search just to get better results. So search engine optimization should be better both for search engines and for people visiting your site. Second, search engine optimization can increase pages' positions in search engine result pages, also known as SERPs, and I use the word 'can' there on purpose. Search engine optimization is not an exact science. Guaranteeing any particular page rank or specific results is out of the question.
So even as your instructor and as an expert on this subject, I can't promise you that doing everything in this title is going to make your page go to number one in the search engine results. It's just a lot more likely they will be higher in the search engine result pages. Finally, doing the search engine optimization or SEO is ethical and honest. You want to make sure that you are not being deceptive to people, or the search engines when you are optimizing your pages. In addition to the guilt that you may feel from using unethical SEO, search engines can banned you from being listed if you use unethical practices.
So keep that in mind. So these three ideas are very important when you are optimizing your websites. So you know that you are being open and honest to the people, and to the search engines and if everything works right, then your pages should be higher in the search engine results.
