Troubleshooting shape tweens

Sometimes you will create a tween in Flash and it just won't work. Remember that you can identify a broken tween in the timeline by a dashed line with a green background. See that I have a broken tween between frame 11 and 16. Let's try to find out what's wrong. I am going to click on frame 11 to select all the artwork on that layer. I can see that all that's selected is the shape in the girl's hair. If I select it, I can see that it's a shape in the Properties panel. Let's go to the last keyframe and see that everything is right there. I'll click on the last keyframe, and I can see that the girl's hair is selected. If I click on the girl's hair, I can see that it's a group. Remember groups cannot shape tween. So I am going to have to break this object down to a shape. So here I am going to use the Break Apart command, which is Command+B or Ctrl+B. When I do that, you can see that this object is a shape.
