Join Todd Perkins for an in-depth discussion in this video Prerequisites, part of Flash CS4 Professional: Building Search Engine Friendly Sites.
Given the nature of this title, you will need to know a lot before coming in. Since I want to stay focused on optimizing Flash sites, I'm going to assume that you know a lot about Flash and about web design already. Specifically, I'm going to except you to know Flash CS4 pretty well. I'm going to speak about things like movie clips and instance names and the Actions panel pretty casually and pretty quickly so that those people who already know Flash don't need to listen to that information again. So you should have basic Flash knowledge.
We are also going to use PHP. You don't need to be a PHP master because we're going to use it for some very specific purposes, specifically printing out XML data as HTML code. I would recommend the PHP Essential Training course on the lynda.com Online Training Library. Finally, you should be familiar with basic XML syntax. So knowing these technologies and languages, you are prepared to learn how to build search engine friendly sites with Flash CS4.
