Finding and replacing all types of content

Whether you want to refactor some code or simply change the text in a text field, Flash's Find and Replace command can speed up your workflow by allowing you to quickly make massive changes across an entire FLA. So I have some dummy text here just to show you the power of Flash's Find and Replace. I like to use the keyboard shortcut Command+F or Ctrl+F to launch the Find and Replace window. You can find that under the Edit menu if you like menu commands. Note that you can search in your Current Document or just the Current Scene, and you can choose what to search for: Text or Font, Color, Symbol, Sound, Video or Bitmap. You can do all types of text to search through. Note that at the bottom of the screen you can choose those checkboxes, whether you want to replace things in ActionScript or Strings in ActionScript or things that are whole words or match the case. We really have a lot of options. Let's start by replacing just the first word in our text which is Lorem, L-O-R-E-M. So type…
