Adding sound

Adding sound

Let's add sound to our application now. So I have a sound layer and I've actually imported the sound to the Library already. So all I have to do is select the first keyframe of the sound layer and click-and-drag the sound from the Library onto the Stage. Now select the first keyframe of the sound layer and head over to the Properties panel to adjust the syncing method. I'm going to choose Stream this time. The reason I want to choose Stream is because this syncs the sound perfectly with the Timeline. So when I stop the Timeline, the sound also stops, and when I play the Timeline, the sound plays. This is going to be useful for when you have buttons for this application. So Stream for the option and that's it. Let's test the movie in the Flash Player and see what it sounds like. (Music playing) So now we have added sound to our application. Remember, all you have to do is select the frame where you want to drop the sound and then just click-and-drag it from the Library onto the Stage.
