Hi there and welcome to Photoshop CS2 and Flash Professional 8 Integration. This is a series of video-based tutorials designed to show you the most efficient methods for importing content created with Adobe Photoshop CS2 into Macromedia Flash professional 8, while maintaining as much of the original appearance as possible. I'll also show you how to take advantage some of the new bitmap features in Flash professional 8 such as filters and blend modes for creating drop shadows that are rendered at runtime by the Flash player instead of having to bring them in his bitmaps. In addition this title also teaches you to control the optimization settings in Flash for bitmap images when they're embedded inside of an exported SWF file.

I'm also show you how to load external bitmaps into a Flash movie. Now with Flash professional 8, you can also do that with PNGs and JPEGs as well. And along the way, I'll also show you a bunch of tips for optimizing images in Photoshop and getting them to look as best they can before you even bring them into Flash to begin with.
