Working with panels

Fireworks uses panels to give you access to common commands and tools. Let's go a little deeper into some of the panel options and see how we can organize our workflow. Before we talk about the different panels, go over to the Workspace Switcher and choose Expanded mode. This will reset the interface to make sure we're looking at the same layout. In this view, Fireworks shows you the panels you use most often with the application. You can turn the panels on or off by going to the Window menu and choosing one of these options. There is a large selection of panels in this area, including some panels that are less commonly used, for example, the Document Library panel, which is useful when working with symbols. Related panels are organized together into panel groups. You can switch between these groups by clicking on each one of these tabs. If you don't like the way panels are arranged, just move them to a different position. You can move them within the panel groups, out of the panel…
