Working with freeform tools and reshaping vector objects

Fireworks has a number of tools for reshaping vector objects, so let's take a look at some of what you can do with them. I'm going to start off by drawing some paths here. I'll choose the Vector Path tool and draw myself a path in this window here. Once I've drawn a path, I have a number of options for reshaping that path and one of them is this Re-path Draw tool. And what you do with this tool is you find somewhere in your path that you want to reshape and you click, and then you can drag out a different direction for that path and then come back and meet this path again, and Fireworks will reshape that tool. It does create a lot of points here, but it's one way of reshaping your paths if you would just want to change things around, especially if you don't like the Pen tool, and sometimes you kind of fail. So you have to be really, really careful, you can really mess this up. There you go and that reshapes that Vector tool like that. We've got a couple of other options right here…
