Learning Fireworks menus and shortcuts
Like any program, Fireworks comes with a comprehensive set of menus that is organized to help you take advantage of different features in the application. I wanted to take a second and discuss the different menus as well as some of the shortcuts. A lot of the menu items available on Fireworks will be things you've seen in other programs. You have the Standard File and Edit menus as well as some menus you may have not seen before, like the Commands and the Filters menu. Out of the different menu options, you'll probably spend a lot of time in the Window menu turning panels on or off. Of course, when you see a menu with a triangle next to it, it means that there is a submenu underneath that option. If you see three dots next to a menu, it means that after selecting that menu option you'll be presented with an additional dialog box asking you some additional questions about your choice.
