Importing graphics

If you're more familiar with other members of the Adobe CS Suite, or if you're working with people who draw in other applications, you might need to import graphics into Fireworks. It does a really great job of bringing things in from other Adobe products. So let's check it out. If you're working with Adobe Illustrator, the easiest way to import graphics is to just have both programs open and Copy and Paste between the programs. So I'm going to select everything from this document and just go to the Edit menu and select Copy and then switch back to Fireworks and just paste the graphic. You can see that everything came in pretty well. Let's take out the layers palette. And you can see that everything came in as different paths. The document kept its look pretty consistently across the different programs. So most of the time when I'm working with Fireworks, I'll often just copy and paste between programs.
