Applying fills
Once you have an object, your next step is usually to style it with a Fill or a Stroke. In this movie we're going to take a look at Fills. We can apply Fills from either the Tools panel, which is right here, or from the Properties panel, which is down here, so we have to have an object selected in order to see that. Most of the times you'll probably use the Properties panel. Sometimes it's just really depends on which is the closest to your mouse position at the time, so really pretty similar. So you can see that Fireworks has a nice set of swatches that are very large and organized chromatically. You can set an Opacity also directly from the Fill here, so we can change that to maybe, say 20%. And now you could see maybe some of those background a little bit through the object. So if I move this around, it's very actually weak, so maybe make it a little more Opaque here, so 80%. You can see some of the objects through this particular object.
