- Keeping your finances in order can be hard to do, especially if you're living paycheck to paycheck. Making sure every bill is paid on time, keeping checks from bouncing, and keeping a positive balance in your accounts can be tough. Almost everyone has missed a payment on a bill or had a check bounce. It's not uncommon, but making sure it doesn't happen frequently is important. Too many mistakes, and you can have credit agencies after you or have your credit rating drop, making it more difficult to borrow money, get an apartment, or even get a job. So, what can you do to keep you from the Groundhog Day experience of repeating financial mistakes. Use autopay for all credit accounts. This includes mortgage payments, car payments, credit cards, gas cards, and department store cards. If you miss a payment on one of these accounts, it will impact your credit rating.
