- Most people don't like to talk about money. This is especially true in families. Money is not usually considered to be acceptable dinner table conversation and the less it gets talked about, the more taboo it can become, especially if your household is like so many where debt or living paycheck to paycheck can cause guilt or shame. So it's no surprise that years can pass without issues coming out into the open. There never seems to be a good time to bring up touchy topics so maybe this Father's Day, you can think about broaching a new money topic with your dad, regardless of what stage of life you're both in. These conversations can open you up to ideas and opportunities, or conversely, shine a light on money problems. Here are some helpful tips to getting the conversation started.
