For more structure and power than the Beat Board, Roger tells us about Final Draft Index Cards. There are two Index Card views: Summary and Script. Summary links freeform text to each scene of the script. Script view captures actual screenplay text into index card form. Changing text in Script view changes the text in the screenplay. Both views can be rearranged and color-coded just like real index cards.
