X marks the spot or marking clips
- Looking for treasure in the ocean? Well, usually the large X on a map is a great key to tell you where it is, It's the same thing with making a quick selection on a clip in the Event Browser or the Timeline. X marks the spot. Here I am, in my 4.5 keyword collection with my clip that we've previously selected in other exercises. Now what I'd like to do is first of all clear this selection and we know the shortcut key for that is once you select the clip you can hit Option x and that clears both the range in and range out point simultaneously. Now to select a clip or mark a clip, you can simply use the x key without even having to select it to select the whole entire clip. So, as we've noticed in a previous exercise, Option x will clear your range in and out point, x marks the spot on your clip. And you can use this in your Timeline as well by simply hitting x where your playhead is over a shot.
