Working with a single material

- In Final Cut Pro when you start working with 3D text, think about it as being naked. It's up to us to give it clothing and we do that by applying materials. A material could be wood, metal, fabric or even concrete. It could also be a combination of the above. When working with 3D text, there are several material presets you can begin to work with inside of Final Cut. I want to see those options available in the inspector. So, we added the basic 3D text in the last movie, and in this movie we're going to take this a step further by playing with our 3D text materials and specifically just one single material, which will effect all facets of our text. So a big difference between 2D and 3D text is that 3D text has a face, a side, which is that kind of extrusion, as well as a back. So if I select this text and rotate it around on its y-axis, because see there's its back and we can decorate that with a different material.
